Actually, I tried that. What's strange is that on my system (NT Server) works fine, and it works on my laptop (WIN95). My Win98 machine is down, which is what my client is using. This method does not work on their machine (exception error). There is one hint that maybe one of you might have some insight to. The APP is driven by 3 APX files that I send to the client via pcAnywhere. What's odd is that the APX that contains this routine won't allow itself to be overwritten during the file transfer. I may delete the file on the customer side, and send it separately, w/o problem. I tried this 3 times with the same results, so I think the computer is suspect, but it passes scandisk OK.
