Razzak, please would you try this code:

conn concomp READ
clear all var
set var vSelID text = 'Mary'
BROWSE USING Employee WHERE empfname = .vSelID +
  order by empfname
return

Then try it without the read only connection;
Then try it without the order by clause - both read and write modes.

I think you will see what I am getting with READ ONLY and ORDER BY in the
file when you press [F8] in the form.
