Yes, QUIT TO can be very handy at times.
I don't think QUIT TO should be eliminated, just the need to use it to free up memory. I loved the freedom I had in RBDOS 4.5++ to use run exclusively and never ran into a problem. Worked much more like subroutines in the compiled languages I use. 4.5++ had the best memory management of any R:Base version ever, before or since. Those days seem to be gone, but I don't think it is impossible to get that functionality back. -- Dennis McGrath mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED] -- Tools for R:BASE programmers http://www.enteract.com/~mcgrath/dennis -- Full time consultant with SQL Resources mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED] -----Original Message----- From: [EMAIL PROTECTED] [mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED]]On Behalf Of Bernard Lis Sent: Sunday, March 17, 2002 10:18 PM To: [EMAIL PROTECTED] Subject: Save The Quit To (was Question - Razzak's Reply) Dennis, I need the "quit to". For one of my Customers, I run two different apps. The second one quits to the first one. Users of the first one cannot get to the second one. So "Save the Quit-To" !!!
