There used to be a utility that Microrim had on their web site for creating DBF files. I bet someone has a copy of it laying around.
Use Excel to test your ODBC connection and see if you can pull data out of R:base and into Excel. That should help you to figure out what the problem is w/ the Barcode system. If you have your R:base connection set up under SYSTEM DSN, you have it in the right place. There are several different versions of the ODBC connection for R:base. I recomend that you use the latest Oterro version. One of the hardest things to deal with ODBC problems is the fact you make systems talk together that were note specifically designed to work together. When it is not working, it is difficult to tell if it is the ODBC application or the ODBC data source causing the problem.
