You can control color and size using the HTML flag on the select command. Look at: R>help html select
You could also embed the necessary html codes into a report and the print the report to a file. If you don't know html, it is a little intimidating when you first look at it, but basic HTML is really simple. To do a report, you need to build a table that consist of a table tag, table row tags and table detail tags. You want to put your data in a table so the columns will line up.
