Bernie, I'd agree 103%.  I often test queries of greater complexity than my
balding noggin can grasp by breaking them down into their atomic statements
(as possible), then testing each unit, with before and after viewing of the
data (when applicable).  Related to the Celko stuff, I'd add that, while
there are plenty of examples of complex statements, I've taken more from the
book at the level of concept or prinicple.

Call me superstitious, or maybe just pained, but I only agree 103% as the
Challenger exploded at 104% ...
