Embed the path and file name in single quotes (or whatever your quote
character is):

LAUNCH 'd:\datafiles\word files\cover_for_the_week.doc'

Will launch Microsoft Word and open a file named cover_for_the_week.doc in
the D:\datafiles\word files folder.

Hope that helps.

AM I missing something simple?

How does one LAUNCH an exe with a name longer than 8 characters or in a
folder with a long file name?

TIA
