I use the "deployment data source" settings in the data source dialogs, 
and in place of a data source name, I put a variable name (like @@user
$dataSourceName).

The variable is set in an include file that is "included" after a successful 
login. The include file has in it all the @if tags with expressions that 
determine which data source or data sources are appropriate for this 
login, directory, and application.
