Correct syntax for SQL statements (most languages) is SELECT ... FROM ... WHERE ... 
[Group by] ... ORDER BY

There are some odd exceptions, such as SyBase that has its own syntax rules, but db2, 
rbase, access  and sqlserver use the sequence above
