Good morning Tom,

Thank you for the suggestion below. I do indeed have (1) column
in each table with the same name. In the relational model, as I
am sure you are aware, is what links the tables. In my case, where
the form is entering sales orders, I have the column TICKET (Integer)
in both the header and detail tables. This should be the normal
practice I think.

In any case, I did try your suggestion and I renamed the TICKET
column in my detail table to DETAIL# and set the value = to TICKET.
When I used the form, it behaved in exactly the same manner as before.
When I enter data into the header, then Shift F8 to the detail table and
enter that information, then Shift F7 back to the header all is OK. But if
I Shift F8 back to the detail table, it adds a duplicate display of the last
record entered.

I even tried preloading data and use the EDIT USING instead of the ENTER
USING commands and you get the same problem.

I am sure that this must be a bug that needs fixed, but
would greatly appreciate any other suggestions anyone might have as
I really need to finish this app. I know I could use two forms etc. but I would
rather keep it as straight forward as possible.

Thanks all.

G'day Bernie,

Look at the table definitions to see if there are two
or more columns with the same names. If there are
then the appearance of one row in the form was due to
the same values being in both the header and detail
table for that row.
