Sami:
Thanks for the head up on this feature; I am really surprised that this is
not a part of the Windows version. I know that in the mean time I can still
use the DOS version to do this; however, I am trying to stay in the Window
environment and this does not help. The more I use the Windows version, the
more I appreciate the DOS version.
Quick question, in the Windows version, if I delete the table, will it also
delete the views, reports and forms associated with the table?
Next step....RDDC....

Javier -

That feature is not available in the Windows version (yet<g>). Here's how I
would do a major re-work on the order of columns in a table.

1. Project a new table from the old table using the column list in the new
order.
2. Output to a file, and unload structure from the old table.
3. Edit the file and remove just the block of code that does the CREATE
TABLE statement, leaving the constraints, rules, indexes, comments, autonum
and so on.
4. Delete or rename the old table.
5. Rename the new table to the original table name.
6. Run the revised structure text file to re-build the other pieces of the
table.
7. Make sure to put in your enhancement request to the RDCC ...

I am trying to change the order of columns in a table definition using
RBDEFINE in Rbase Windows 6.5++ and I can't seem to figure out how to do it.
In the DOS version, when I use RBDEFINE I highlight the column with the
cursor, press the <CTRL><F8> and I can move the column up or down with the
UP and Down arrows. I am tired of having to go to the DOS version every time
I need to make changes. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
