Thom,
I would recommend to un-install R:Tango 3.6 and then install
R:Tango 2000.
Please refer to R:Tango 2000 Getting Started Guide included
with the product and also a PDF version of such document in
the root directory of installation CD.
General Notes:
01. R:Tango 2000 Server runs R:Tango 3.x and R:Tango 2000
application files, but does not run Tango 2.x query
documents: they must be converted to R:Tango 2000
format.
02. The R:Tango 2000 Editor can open R:Tango application
files created with version 3.x or earlier of Tango
and converts them to R:Tango 2000 (XML) format. The
file is not saved in XML format until you choose the
Save command.
03. If you convert your R:Tango application files to
R:Tango 2000 (XML) format, they will not run on
R:Tango Server 3.x, nor can they be opened by R:Tango
Editor 3.x. It is strongly recommended that you back
up any files before converting.
04. It is strongly recommended that you back up all your
R:Tango 3.x application files before converting them
to R:Tango 2000 (XML) format.
If you attempt to open a R:Tango 3.x application file
with R:Tango 2000 Editor, a warning dialog box appears.
Clicking OK opens the file. The file is not saved in
XML format until you choose the Save command.
05. The R:Tango 2000 XML file has exactly the same structure
and features as a R:Tango 3.x binary application file:
no data is lost in the conversion.
06. A command-line utility, taf2xml, that converts R:Tango
3.x application files to R:Tango 2000 XML files is
distributed with R:Tango 2000 in the XML folder to help
you convert your application files without having to
open them individually in R:Tango Editor.
Enjoy the R:Tango 2000 and make sure to have fun!
You will NEVER regret to stay CURRENT!
Very Best Regards,
Razzak,
