I would like to unload and Reload 2 small databases and I
seem to have problems with the syntax. I use Rbase 6.5 ++

An example would be appreciated, since Im a novice.

Herbert,

Simple example of  UNLOAD:

At the mighty R> prompt or in a command file:

SET MULTI OFF
CONNect  DBName IDENTIFIED BY ownerpassword
SET NULL -0-
OUTP DBBackup.UNL
UNLOAD ALL
OUTP SCREEN
DISConnect
DELETE DbBackup.RB?
RENAME DBName.RB? DBBackup.RB?
INPUT DBBackup.UNL
DISConnect
SET MULTI ON
CONNect  DBName IDENTIFIED BY ownerpassword

Simple example of  RELOAD:

At the mighty R> prompt or in a command file:

SET MULTI OFF
CONNect  DBName IDENTIFIED BY ownerpassword
DELETE DbBackup.RB?
RELOAD DbBackup
DISConnect
DELETE DBName.RB?
RENAME DBBackup.RB? DBName.RB?
SET MULTI ON
CONNect  DBName IDENTIFIED BY ownerpassword

There, you will also find a few technical documents.

Should you require further assistance, please feel free to ask your questions
on this list.

Enjoy and make sure to have fun with TGRB2000 (ver 6.5++) for Windows!

Very Best Regards,

Razzak.
