I seem to remember that you have to use an extended/expanded memory manager;
Rbase used to include one with its software. Also, I am not sure if it was
2.11 or a later release, but there were 2 executables (rbase.exe) that you
could use; one was for 386 machines or better and the other for 286 machines
(used less memory but slower). You had to configure the memory manager in
the config.sys file, also you had to set the files and buffers parameters.
Of course all these setting were for DOS based systems.

I have an old 2.11 database I need to open up, and I keep getting illegal
operation errors when I try to start up rbase 2.11.  Does anyone have any
suggestions?  I have been messing around with the memory settings, but can't
get it to work.
