One easy check would be to look at the longer notes as suggested by others in this thread and the just compare these records; if they look OK probably the rest of the records are OK too. As an alternative, you can use a "check sum" type of approach, where you sum the note length for all the records before transfer and compare it to the same value afterwards, incidentally, this is how modems verify that all data has been transferred (commonly referred as AK and NAK)
