Another key here is that often when the file is damaged the network thinks it is still in use. So when you re-install it does not overwrite the Server file. Be sure to delete or change the name off all Server6.rbg files anywhere on the network.
Then re-install R:Base. Of course the easiest thing to do is to upgrade and get rid of the Server6 file forever. It was one of the biggest pain in the ass things that Microrim ever came up with.
