        It depends.

        Is the row you are choosing related to information already
on the form (like looking up a customerName related to a customerID
where the customerID is in the invoice table)?

(Is it a dependent variable that depends on something else?)

        If so, you need to use the variable the field depends on to look
it up:
SET VARIABLE vName TEXT -- prior to entering form

SELECT (FirstName & LastName) INTO vName +
FROM NameTable +
WHERE (NameID = NameID)

RECALC VARIABLES

        Or does the row you want to select have no
direct relationship to other information on the form.

(Is the information independent of any other information on the form?)

SET VARIABLE vProductID INTEGER -- prior to entering form

CHOOSE vProductID +
FROM #Values +
FOR productName, productID +
FROM productTable

RECALC VARIABLES
