G'day.

I have a foreign key constraint numbered #1210 on the column EntityID in
the table TranHeader. Without success I have tried the following ways to
drop it and received the following error messages:

ALTER TABLE TranHeader DROP CONSTRAINT #1210 -ERROR- (something like
"constraint name does not exist")
DROP INDEX #1210 -ERROR- #1210 not found ( 46)
DROP CONSTRAINT #1210 - Syntax is incorrect for the command
DROP (2045)
DROP INDEX TranHeader.EntityID -ERROR- INDEX not found ( 46)
DROP INDEX EntityID IN TranHeader -ERROR- INDEX not found ( 46)

After doing the above I deleted some duplicate foreign keys
found by a schema checker and lo and behold the syntax in
the first line now works. That was the first one I tried
but forgot to include it in the first post.

So, the moral of the story appears to be,
"If you are having trouble dropping a foreign key,
look for and delete any duplicate foreign keys."

I will submit an enhancement request to RBTI to disallow
exact duplicate foreign keys.

Just a little side note, the schema checker misreported
as duplicates where I had a primary and foreign key on
the same column.

Warmest regards,

Tom Grimshaw
