To all CURRENT users of R:BASE 2000 (ver 6.5++): I have been watching the discussion of "R:BASE Printed Documentation" with great interest, started on Thursday, June 27, 2002 by James (Jim) Bentley. Since then, more discussion, feedback and recommendations were made by: . Gustavo Arroyo . Nicky Avery . James Bentley . Mike Byerley . Brad Davidson . Bill Downall . Dan Goldberg . Christian Hjortmar . Walkiria Jimenez . Joe Karpen . Damon Kaufman . Lawrence Lustig . Susan Seelye . Lynn Shelton . Richard Starkey . Javier Valencia . J. Stephen Wills . Enrique Wintergerst I cannot tell you how grateful I am to hear the great ideas and recommendations of the importance of having a printed hard copy of R:BASE documentation. I have also enjoyed reading of those who have taken advantage of our http://www.RSyntax.com and In-Line Help (RBG65.CHM). I would like to take this opportunity to thank you all for the discussion and recommendations on this official R:BASE list server and to those who have sent me private e-mails. You input has been very helpful. All I can tell you is to simply stay tuned for the official announcement and a surprise for our CURRENT and up-to-date R:BASE 2000 (ver 6.5++) users. The rest is history. I can assure you that you all will enjoy the solution of "Printed Documentation". (Yes, the members of the Dream Team started the work last week.) The same solution will also be provided with the Next Generation R:BASE 7.0, along with Cool Wizards for Forms, Reports, Labels, Applications and Query Builders. Meanwhile, since the release of R:BASE 2000 (ver 6.5) on February 14, 2000, we have been working hard to keep you all up-to-date with the changes and new commands through our on-line documentation at http://www.RSyntax.com, current in-line help file (RBG65.CHM) and all TXT files (RBWIN65.TXT, RBWIN65P.TXT, RBW65PP.TXT, RBW65PP1.TXT, RBW65PP2.TXT) shipped with the currently distributed version of R:BASE 2000 (ver 6.5++) for Windows. An up-to-date RBG65.CHM, RBW65PP3.TXT and On-Line HTML documentation will also be distributed with the upcoming In-Line Patch-3, Build:1.856xRT03, to be released soon. As you all know, while working on the Next Generation R:BASE 7.0 for Windows (http://www.rbase.com/rbg7) and training our dedicated beta testers and developers across the world (http://www.rbaseuniversity.com), our talented and dedicated Dream Team is also working on the upcoming In-Line Patch-3. May you all enjoy the benefits of staying CURRENT! Very Best Regards, Razzak. __________________________________________________ Do You Yahoo!? Yahoo!
