Alastair, Your memory has not failed you. I just tried a query under RBase for DOS v6.5+ and the print to file option worked as you described. I had moved several columns and there were printed to the file in the order shown on the screen. If the windows version does it different then I would say that, in Razzak's terms, this is a boo-boo and should be reported to the RDCC.
