Rich, I had that problem a while ago and traced to the Tango server hanging every 30 minutes for up to a minute or two. I solved the problem by changing the datasourcetimeout in the tango settings (t4server.ini file) to 24 hours and then I restart the Tango server every night. I also found as I added more datasources, the problem got worse, and if you shorten the datasourcetimeout it will get really bad. I could never figure out if it was a Tango issue or an Oterro issue, but this was my workaround.
I have never messed around with the Connection pooling, so mine os off. I don't know what it does or if Oterro would even use it.
