I had that problem a while ago and traced to the Tango server hanging every 
30 minutes for up to a minute or two.  I solved the problem by changing the 
datasourcetimeout in the tango settings (t4server.ini file) to 24 hours and 
then I restart the Tango server every night.  I also found as I added more 
datasources, the problem got worse, and if you shorten the datasourcetimeout 
it will get really bad.  I could never figure out if it was a Tango issue or 
an Oterro issue, but this was my workaround.

I have never messed around with the Connection pooling, so mine os off.  I 
don't know what it does or if Oterro would even use it.
