Dave
You can use gateway to export to xls.

GATEWAY EXPORT XLS4 filename SEL * FROM viewname/tablename
          or
GATEWAY EXPORT XLS4 filename SEL columnlist FROM viewname/tablename

Subject: Views and GATEWAY

I have a user that uses the query builder to create views. She wants to
export these to Excel. Is there any way I can capture the output of
LIST VIEW [viewname] to use GATEWAY to export the result?
