Dennis:

I frequently use different settings, although the opposite of what you found
in the database (Format = MM/DD/YYYY, Sequence = MMDDYY).

The reason is: I always want four digits on output for clarity.  However, I
find R:Base Year and Century setting work fine for allowing users to enter
two digit years when four digits are not necessary.
