I had a similar problem with a Lexmark All-in-one
Printer/Fax/Scanner system. I found what I thought
was the wierdest thing... They said in an article on
their site to not have the All-in-one plugged into
the surge protector that the rest of the devices were on-
ie: computer and such, and to have it plugged straight
into the wall. Believe it or not, this fixed it. I
then got a seperate surge protector just for this device..

Weird, but a true story
