David:

I just played around with this using the ConComp database and got similar
results. I did

SELECT LISTOF(ContFName & ContLName & ContPhone) +
FROM Contact WHERE ContLName LIKE 'A%'

and got the following results:

-WARNING- New value will be truncated. (2570)
-WARNING- New value will be truncated. (2570)
-WARNING- New value will be truncated. (2570)
-WARNING- New value will be truncated. (2570)

LISTOF (ContFName & ContLName & ContPhone)
 ----------------------------------------------------------------------
 Anna Adams 512-581-8,Nancy Allen 823-285-,Jerry Attwater 505-8,Margie
 Amundsen 190-

Notice that I got 4 warnings about truncation, and also that in the results
each set of data is truncated -- Anna Adams is missing 3 characters, Nancy
Allen is missing 4, Jerry Attwater is missing 7, and Margie Amundsen is
missing 8. Each row was limited to 20 characters, as you reported.

I did my test on an older patch -- if you can confirm this ComComp example
on the latest and greatest, you should probably submit it to RDCC.
