Thanks for the response.   I have abandoned that methodology
and deleted the form so I cannot test it, but I was also getting
an inability to save the TranDetail row msg due to no matching
value being in the ProdServID column (FKd to ProductsServices)
even though there is no NOT NULL constraint on the FK and the
ProdServID obtained via the barcode was valid.

All in all a frustrating attempt to do something that should
have been dead easy and would have been far better from a code
reuse\efficiency point of view - have a block of code called from
an eep rather than 20 variables in each form needing to be
altered if a methodology change dictates.
