From The Edge: Understanding Page Style Band in Report Designer
Section: Report Designer
Chapter: Running R:BASE Your Way!
Platform: R:BASE 7.0 for Windows
Build: 1.855xRT04 and Higher
Including all traditional options in R:BASE 7.0 for Windows Report Designer,
such as Report Header, Page Header, Break Header, Details, Break Footer,
Page Footer and Report Footer, now you also have the option of "Page Style".
If defined, the Page Style option of R:BASE 7.0 for Windows Report Designer,
prints anything on that band once for each page.
Page Style is always printed as the bottommost layer of the page and does
not use any space on the page (as do the other band types).
Page Styles are usually sized to the printable area of the page and filled
with
controls that represent formatting to appear on each page. This is usually
done in order to emulate forms.
The Page Setting property of Page Style determines which pages the page
style will appear on. Following are the possible values:
All The page style appears on all pages.
First Page The page style appears on the first page only.
Last Page The page style appears on the last page only.
Pages The page style appears on the pages in the range specified
by page number(s) specified. You will need to enter page
numbers and/or page ranges separated by commas. For
example, 1,3,5-12
The Visible property of Page Style determines whether a Page Style band
will be printed. You can conditionally print the contents of Page Style band
by setting the Visible property. You can suppress the printing of an entire
band by setting the Visible property of each report band to False.
If the Height property of the Page Style band is set to Static, then blank
white space equivalent to the height of the band will be printed. If the
Height
is set to Dynamic, no page space is used and the next band begins printing.
If you want to suppress an entire band, it is usually best to use the Visible
property of the band itself.
To display and/or set the Height (Dynamic or Static), Calc Order, Page
Settings, Position and Visible property from the Report Designer speed
menu, position your mouse cursor over the Page Style band and click the
right mouse button. The Visible option should be near the bottom of the
speedmenu. If it is checked (the default), the Page Style band will be
printed. Selecting the Visible option from this menu will toggle its value.
