If you have Word, You can spell check through Automation.

It can be as simple as:

dim a
dim b
dim c

Set a = CreateObject("word.application")

a.WordBasic.FileNew 'open a doc
a.Visible = False 'hide the doc

b = a.CheckSpelling("boy")
c = a.CheckGrammar("I am a boy.")

MsgBox b
MsgBox c

a.Quit
set a = nothing

wscript.quit(0)

You would write the contents of your variable to disk in a temp file then
spellcheck it as above (The above is a snippet and not necessarily loaded
with all the things you would do in spellcheck) then pass the corrected file
contents back to RBase via the FileSystemObject as used in some of my other
examples....

Subject: Spell Check?
