FYI: As a follow-up to my conversion to single quotes yesterday, I encountered a problem with Word this morning. As I have a merge Word document launched with the zip command which includes a macro that runs when Word opens and uses a data file created by Rbase, I found that Word is unable to use the single quote formatted data file. After playing with unload as ascii and unload as csv and attempting to make Word recognize the data file, I finally gave up and set quotes = " before and set quotes = ' after the line with the unload command. Of course, that still works... Funny though that Word isn't SQL compatible... ~Claudine :)
