On the hardware side, for Win2000 OS, check 'NIC properties' (or your PCI
adapter properties for the NIC you're using). We found the default setting of
"Auto Detect"  deficient under "Link Speed & Duplex", and set to
100Mbps/FullDuplex. In our case, improved multi-user performance 400% within
Rbase apps. If you have 100Mbps NIC's you may want to check each station's
settings.... Just a thought.
