My Outlook 2000 is set up to send "plain text" messages when posting to the
list. However, when you reply to a message that is formatted with HTML, your
reply will also adapt this format and thus create a large size file as I
just found out as Bill Downall (List Manager) correctly pointed out.

I woould like to add:
If you're using outlook express, in your contact list,  right click on the
[EMAIL PROTECTED], select properties, click name tab, put a check in
"send plaint text message"
