What version of R:BASE are you using?
If you are using The Glorious R:BASE 2000 (ver 6.5++) for Windows,
Build:1.851xRT03 or higher, such as Build:1.858xRT03, you can
capture the CORRECT value of (LASTKEY(0)) as following:
A very simple example:
01. Create a sample command file as following:
-- CheckLastKey.RMD
CONNECT Concomp IDENTIFIED BY None
EDIT USING Employee
-- while the form is up, press '[Esc]' key to get out .
SET VARIABLE vLastkey = (LASTKEY(0))
02. RUN CheckLastKey.RMD
03. At the might R> prompt:
SHOW VAR
The value of vLastKey will be returned as 'Esc]'
04. You can use that technique in a command file to capture
the value of (LASTKEY(0)) and then take it from there ...
