On a given server we have an R:Base job running that SCONNECTs another R:Base database. The R:Base ODBC driver is installed, and all this works fine.
Now I need to install Oterro for a separate process on this server. The question is, for connectivity between an R:Base task and another R:Base database, will I get better results using the R:Base ODBC driver or Oterro? In my scenario I could redefine the DSN to use the Oterro driver, or I can leave it as an R:Base ODBC connection. Does anyone have any data to support one or the other of these two possibilities? Is there any practical difference?
