I believe that SpreadST.rmd written by Razzak does exactly that. This
utility was distributed at this year's Developers Conference. I am not sure
if it is public domain or not, Razzak can probably shed some light on this.
If it is public domain, I will be glad to e-mail you a copy of it, or there
may be a place at the Rbase web site from where you can download it.

Subject: Column Names as first row on Gateway / Export /Xls4

Does anyone have an easy, or hard (if you already did the work) way to add
column names as the first row in an export? I could even live with static
names in an xls template if someone could tell me how to make the rbase
export work with that.

P.S. I have never been able the get Gateway/Export/XLS5 to work with Excel
2k, Xls4 works great and I continue to use it. I'm running Windows 6.5++
Build 1.850xRT03 / Win 98
