I am trying to get the latest beta version of the launch command to run
Irvan Viewer with parameters:

This is an extract from the viewer text file:

Example for thumbnails:
  i_view32.exe c:\test\image1.jpg /thumbs
=> open 'image1.jpg' and display thumbnails from directory 'c:\test'
  or
  i_view32.exe c:\test /thumbs
=> display thumbnails from directory 'c:\test'

This is my syntax:

SELECT Last_Edit INTO vLastEdit FROM Next_Group_Num WHERE COUNT = 1

SET VAR vLaunchProg = 'c:\progra~1\irfanview\i_view32.exe'

SET VAR vLaunchParams = 'd:\pics /thumbs'

SET VAR vLaunch = (.vLaunchProg + '|' + .vLaunchParams)

LAUNCH .vLaunch

The above fails to launch the program but this does work:

SET VAR vLaunch = (.vLaunchProg)

LAUNCH .vLaunch

so I assume that there is something wrong with my params variable.
Incidentally, launching with an image filename works so I further assume
that it's the second param that is failing. The syntax works from a DOS
prompt but I can't make it work from the R:> or a command file.

I've tried "&" around the pipe character but that made no difference and
I've tried typing the command in full at the R:> with no luck.

Can anybody see what I'm doing wrong?

Thanks & regards,

Alastair.
