G'day Polychronis,

My guess is that it is to accommodate the minus sign if one exists.

SET V vtcurr TEXT = (FORMAT(.vcurr,'000000.00'))

SHOW V

vcurr              = 123,456.78                               CURRENCY
vtcurr             =  123456.78                               TEXT

Is the extra space normal in variable vtcurr? Same in version 4.5++

The problem is that if ever changed, all programs must change.
Warmest regards,
