I submitted your idea about variables stored with the databasea today to
7.0, under RBDEFINE.  It is enhancement Request #70246 titled "Create Stored
VARIABLES Saved with database and created on each connect".  The request
credits you with the idea.

Great idea - hope we get to have it!
