Hi Bill
I think the answer lies in code table for DOS-Ascii and Win-ANSI
This (char(255)) displays correctly in DOS.
This is very much the same problem as international charters. When I go
from DOS Database to Windows I scan my text fields and replace for ''
as an exsampel THE (char(132)) that displays correctly in DOS to
(char(228)) that display correctly in Windows.
However I cant not tell what number you should use in windows instead of
(char(255)) please inform when you find the answer.

Subject: Hard space

Hi all,

I need to use a hard space (char(255)) in a literal in a choose
statement. But rather than a hard space it displays a "y" with two
dots over it. The same character in a write statement displays as
expected. Is there something I can do?

Thanks,

Ben Petersen
