First of all I would like to thank Myron Finegold, Gunmar Ekplad, Bill Downall and Randy Peterson to their response to my question. I just returned to the Office on Monday and had a lot of catch-up to do, particular with the List. The original Idea was to have a accumulated Total of Invoice amounts upon entry of a Invoice. To give a short explanation we receive a % discount upon reaching a certain Plato of accumulated invoicing. I did refer to the view which was suggested by Randy and it works fine. Again thank you all, Herb

Herb, Rather than periodically update table B, why don't you create a view that combines the information from both tables. It will be automatically updated whenever you use it. You can run forms or print reports from the view, or browse and edit the data. CREATE VIEW vwAB (InvDate, Field1, Field2) + AS SELECT B.InvDate, A.Field1, A.Field2 + FROM tableA A, tableB B + WHERE (A.InvDate = B.InvDate) This will put every column of data that you include in your field definition from Table A together with whatever has the corresponding InvDate from Table B. (You will want to make sure that the InvDate is unique in Table A, and also unique in Table B to prevent a cartesian product. This would also be necessary if you wish to 'populate the column "InvDate" in Table -B- with the data permanently...")
