New topic in Databases: How to find "HAT" but NOT "tHAT" or "HATter in SQLite?
isomfield - Wed Apr 16, 2008 6:01 pm <http://forums.realsoftware.com/viewtopic.php?t=21872> Hi, I am trying (again) to search for whole words in an SQLite RB database. I have tried everything I can think of, but am getting nowhere. Is it possible, using ANY sort of magic, to find only the records containing whole words such as; "HAT" but not "tHAT" or "HATter" or "cHATter"? Please tell me that it IS possible in SQLite - if it is absolutely not possible, what should I change to where it is possible - Valentina? Postgre? - obviously I would rather not change to a different db at this stage in my development. Please tell me the impossible is possible _________________ Cheers Greg Olson-Hyde RB 2007r5 Pro, Mac OS X 10.4.11 -- Over 900 classes with 18000 functions in one REALbasic plug-in.
