New topic in General: Creating a Time Code Display from computers clock
TChapman - Tue Jun 10, 2008 4:37 am <http://forums.realsoftware.com/viewtopic.php?t=22832> Is it possible to take the clock from the computer, and set a starting time (offset), for example: 00:00:00:00 is the start time (hours:minutes:seconds:frames) where the initial start time could be set, and large text for each section of digits track the internal clock and update itself? The idea is to have a display running all day on a lap top, where multiple video cameras that do not have sync capability can shoot the laptop screen at the beginning of every shot, then in editing, can be closely synced back up. I cannot find anything on google so far that does what I am suggesting, so home brew may be the answer. I have limited experience with RB, not enough to know if the 30 frames per second could be tracked somehow and displayed, 1 second resolution is too course, 1/30 of a second increment is required. The last resort would be to have the frames segment "freewheeling" off a timer, and the seconds, minutes and hours are actually tracking in real sync with the internal clock.
