Posts: 133 I want to create a simple, dynamic window which prompts
the user for text and returns the value of said string to whatever it was that
called it. This strikes me as a remarkably simple concept, but I'm simply not
sure what would be the best method of doing this.

Is it possible to somehow return a value as a function would once the user
presses the "OK" button within the window? The code calling it needs to somehow
wait until said value is returned in order to move on in its processing. The
concept runs basically uniformly to that of a MessageDialog and
MessageDialogButton - how that whole thing works, and how it resumes processing
ones the modal dialog has been satisfied.

I get the feeling this is so stupidly simple that once I see how it's done I'm
going to do a good, old fashioned forehead smack.

Thanks!
