Posts: 169 I've run into comments several times that composite
windows can really screw with a GUI. One poster seemed to sigh in resignation
saying, "When you need them, you need them".

So, I'm wondering why there is a problem with them? I find it very difficult to
make any decent looking window without checking off composite on the widows
properties. You can't even have one single disclosure triangle without losing
aesthetics. At the same time, making that triangle fit leads to a custom canvas
going batty when composite is checked.

Is this an issue lots of people run into? Or do you just stick with the old
pinstripe backgrounds rather than try to make an app look up-to-date? Is this
something RB is working on? Has this been a problem for a long time? Or am I
missing some return true that would fix everything?

I'm just trying to wrap my head around the phenomenon. It just seems like kind
of a lose-lose situation.
