We have so many sites already to promote RealBasic, why do we need another one? More of my friends use Facebook than Flickr or Digg (even combined). So when I post a link that I think my friends might think is funny or interesting, they all get to see it. When I post photos, they all get notified and can see my photos. I also like playing some the games on Facebook. Our current project allows you to upload photos to Facebook and to Flickr, currently 4 times as many people are using our product to upload photos to Facebook than Flickr. Some of that might be because Flickr keeps denying requests to having a flickr logo on our website, while Facebook are happy for it. Once a person becomes a fan of RB, their friends and family are notified about it and they can choose to find out more information or become a fan and at which point the information moves on. The Facebook fan page is a place for people who are in Facebook a lot to be able to quickly see other REALbasic users, perhaps chat with them, get news and have quick access to some links.
