I would like to know what purpose does the new facebook have to offer then just
another site to promote RealBasic?

We have so many sites already to promote RealBasic, why do we need another one?

Anyway, it's just my view as I am NOT a fan of facebook!

Location: Beautiful Taiwan As a fan of Facebook I use it to keep
in touch with my friends, share photos and interesting news stories. More of my
friends use Facebook than Flickr or Digg (even combined). So when I post a link
that I think my friends might think is funny or interesting, they all get to
see it. When I post photos, they all get notified and can see my photos. I also
like playing some the games on Facebook.

Our current project allows you to upload photos to Facebook and to Flickr,
currently 4 times as many people are using our product to upload photos to
Facebook than Flickr. Some of that might be because Flickr keeps denying
requests to having a flickr logo on our website, while Facebook are happy for
it.

Once a person becomes a fan of RB, their friends and family are notified about
it and they can choose to find out more information or become a fan and at
which point the information moves on.

I hope this helps in some way.

The Facebook fan page is a place for people who are in Facebook a lot to be
able to quickly see other REALbasic users, perhaps chat with them, get news and
have quick access to some links.

If you don't use Facebook, then it's not going to be all that useful

Posts: 1280 I use Facebook, but I really don't see any benefit to
joining that group. We already chat with each other here. That group is clearly
designed for REALbasic promotion and little more.

Indeed it is, but if you become a fan, you can help them with their
promoting... Can you say it like that???
