Posts: 118 Hi All - If I have a word document and I drag and drop
that document over the word application then word opens the document. However
if I have some sort of input file that I can open in my RB application and I
drag and drop it over the application nothing happens. Is there a way
(possibly via shell command, aka terminal command) that I could have my program
do this?

Is there a way that I could have a menu option in one RB program, e.g. "open
data in PROGRAM2", that sends output to another RB program and the other RB
program will open it and maybe do some analysis.

The situation is that my boss wrote an RB program that does analysis on output
files from quantum dynamics calculations performed via terminal command. I
wrote a GUI that allows users to do the calculations without having to open the
terminal. What I want to do is add the option to automatically send the data
to my bosses program so that as soon as the simulation finishes running in my
program the output file opens in his program.

Any ideas are much appreciated.
Thanks
