I have written a realtively big application, it worked fine. Then I reinstalled
my Windows XP and when I now open the project I get this error:

"Internal error.
An unhandled NilObjectException has occured.
Please report this to Real Software, along with any details you can provide.
You may attempt to continue, but you should quit and restart the IDE as soon as
possible."

When clicking continue simply nothing happens.

The project was written with RB 2006.

I am using several OCX components in the project like
iexplore.ocx, reportman.ocx and I think also sqlite.

But all these components are installed.

When opening with RB2008 it gives further information:

"Project: REALbasic

Does anyone know how to solve the problem?

Posts: 284 It seems that the problem is not in RealBasic, but in
the project file it self.

I could not copy neither open the RBP project file with notepad.

It seems that the file is locked some how? Does anyone know what can be done?

I used knoppix linux live cd to copy the entire directory.
Now I can open and compile the project without any problem.

The problem was the user restriction of windows xp.
