I think it would be neat to have my own language. I don't want to have something too complex, however i would like the user to be able to build the program and turn it into a stand-alone .dmg app. I am on a mac running REALbasic2009 r4 and realbasicpro2007r3. Please help and thanks in advance Top DaveS Post subject: Re: Help Writing Scripting LanguagePosted: Thu Oct 22, 2009 12:09 am Joined: Sun Aug 05, 2007 10:46 am Posts: 1671 Location: San Diego, CA Can you be more specific? Are you talking a scripting language to control another application? Like AppleScript? Or a full blown programming language? If so, RB probably isn't your best tool, unless you are doing it simply for an educational exercise. And then you also need to decide..... a full compiler? an interpreter? what special niche is it going to fill that some other language doesn't already exist for? _________________ Dave Sisemore MacPro, OSX 10.5.8 RB2009r2 Top Display posts from previous: All posts1 day7 days2 weeks1 month3 months6 months1 year Sort by AuthorPost timeSubject AscendingDescending Page 1 of 1 [ 2 posts ] -- Over 1500 classes with 29000 functions in one REALbasic plug-in collection.
