Posts: 8 I have created a subclass of a pushbutton and added a
property of string type so I can edit instances of the class and have each
button caption display a different greek character. I have done this with no
problem in earlier versions of RealBasic. Not so now. The problem is that
when I want to put the unicode for the greek character in the property, the
property is not available to me in the IDE. I look in the Property List
Behavior and it is not listed. What am I doing wrong? I have read the User
Guide over and over and feel like I am doing this right.

Location: Canada, Alberta, Near Red Deer Guess I dont understand
why you;d need a subclass and could not just use a pushbutton and the caption
property it already has ?

Your property is probably set to 'protected' or 'private' in the top right of
the editor. Try setting it to unprotected/name escapes me now (little blue
circle) and then see if you can assign it in the Prop List Behaviour.
