[ie. Yes/No] Whats up with that... Like you have a choice? Select "No..... its not a compiler error?" It should be "Ok"... or better yet "Sorry!" _________________ Dave Sisemore MacPro, OSX 10.5.8 RB2009r2 Top Cesco Post subject: Re: [RB2009r4] The most helpful error message in the worldPosted: Thu Oct 29, 2009 9:08 am Joined: Fri Mar 09, 2007 2:04 am Posts: 63 Location: Venice, Italy If you choose "Yes" RB does nothing and the application is compiled and builded anyway If you choose "No"..... RB still does nothing and the application is still compiled and builded anyway Very useful Top DaveS Post subject: Re: [RB2009r4] The most helpful error message in the worldPosted: Thu Oct 29, 2009 9:11 am Joined: Sun Aug 05, 2007 10:46 am Posts: 1693 Location: San Diego, CA Cesco.... my post was an attempt at humor..... _________________ Dave Sisemore MacPro, OSX 10.5.8 RB2009r2 Top Cesco Post subject: Re: [RB2009r4] The most helpful error message in the worldPosted: Thu Oct 29, 2009 9:18 am Joined: Fri Mar 09, 2007 2:04 am Posts: 63 Location: Venice, Italy DaveS wrote:Cesco.... my post was an attempt at humor..... Ah sorry I didn't catch the humor, I don't know if this is because of my understanding of English or because I'm busy thinking I'll have to review 5 thousand lines of code to find what was wrong Top wardy Post subject: Re: [RB2009r4] The most helpful error message in the worldPosted: Thu Oct 29, 2009 9:46 am Joined: Mon Apr 16, 2007 3:12 pm Posts: 102 That reminds me of some forensic software... It would sometimes get stuck in what seemed like an eternal loop (left for 1 weeks, it still kept trying to process data which should take an hour max). Before you wonder - I was on vacation for a week, not sat idle. Anyway.... If you tried to cancel the loop, you could see on the title bar "Cancelling......". That too got stuck in an eternal loop. If you hit cancel again, you were given the ever so helpful message "Would you like to cancel the cancelling operation". If you hit yes and then tried to cancel again, you were greeted with "Would you like to cancel, cancelling the cancel operation". I was never quite sure whether it was someones humour or a serious question.
