I develop my applications on Windows. They are using .html files for logging
the programs actions. Those html files are stored on the local users disk. This
is the URL :
file:///D:/Projecten/Alvirek/SignWerX/SignWerX_UserData/P_Logs/Session_Logs/Kermit_XY_#20100201_8#.html

On Windows this works fine but on Macintosh the page will not load at all.

Do you know the reason why a perfectly working HTMLviewer on Windows does not
work on Macintosh?

Thank you in advance and have a nice day.

Friendly greetings,

Location: European Community Hello Dave,

Thank you very much for your very fast reply.

On this moment I am on Windows and pasted the URL of the Windows version onto
my post.

However when I use the program on Macintosh, it uses the Mac location, so there
will not a "D:" in that URL. But because I am using Windows now, I could not
copy the Mac URL (I am working on a laptop and my Mac is 8 km further away).

Those session logs are stored in a directory. What the program does is getting
the names of all those logs, put them in a combobox with the newest frst. So
when the user choose an URL (name) the location is assembled again and the page
is loaded. Works on Windows without error.

So I believe that your suggestion to leave out an "/" will possibly and
hopefully work.

Thanks again for your help and have a nice day.

Friendly greetings,

The folderitem class has functions to get the path in the proper format for
you. This assumes you've set up your folderitem to point to the correct
location in the first place of course.
